Indiana Waterways: The Art of Conservation

Held at Indiana Landmarks Center! Five Hoosier artists present their depictions of Indiana waterways in a traveling exhibit designed to call attention to the need for conservation and restoration of the state’s rivers, streams, and tributaries. The exhibition began at the Indiana State Museum in 2022, and has been shown at other locations throughout 2023. Participating artists include John Kelty of Fort Wayne, Curtis Stanfield of Rosedale, Avon Waters of Converse, and brothers Dan and Tom Woodson of Muncie, displaying work in oil, watercolor, and pastels.
81 of the 100 paintings are now on display at Indiana Landmarks, and may be viewed during their normal business hours. All 100 paintings will be displayed during the preview on Friday, May 3, 3pm-6pm.
The auction will begin at 1pm, doors will open at 11:30 for bidder registration. Online bidders may pick up paintings on Sunday, May 5, from 1pm-3pm. Please note- online bidders not picking up on Sunday, or who will require shipping, will be assessed a $25 convenience fee for paintings relocated to Wickliff Auctioneers Carmel, IN, gallery.
