A silver Labbeh wedding necklace - Yemen 1850-1900
A row of square hollow silver links threaded on two strings followed by four rows of various links decorated with filigree and granulation and silver ball-shaped bell pendants ending with a row of silver ball-shaped bell pendants.

*Labbeh necklaces were given to the bride by her betrothed and was worn high on the neck, framing the face. It was considered one of the more important pieces of jewellery of a woman's wedding garb. It was later worn by the woman on important festive days.
