JAPANESE GILT WOOD SCULPTURE FIGURE OF AMIDA BUDDHA Edo Period, 19th c
The sculpture depicts the figure of AMIDA BUDDHA, standing on a floral base and a Lotus leaf rising behind it, the sculpture is made of carved wood in delicate gilding and lacquering, base decorated with carving of numerous gilded elements, old fractures and repaires, Japan Edo Period (1603-1868), 19th century.
