Extraordinary Silver Inkwell, France - 19th century, Marked
Inkwell made of silver in extraordinary silversmithing, in its center there is an element of the scene of a warrior standing on a rock in the wood in a heroic position, spear on his left hand and a pair of wolves bound around him, to its sides a pair of accompanying inkwells made in welding and engraving in organic patterns, to their heads there is a pair of well-sculpted lids in a pattern of angels holding a flower stem, handles sculpted in a pattern of stems with dragon heads on their ends and four legs designed in Rococo models, small lacks to the frame and light curvature to the left inkwell, French silver hallmarks on the dish and lids, end of 19th century.
