Large Silver Cricket Cage Pendant - China, Qing dynasty
A long Chinese chain made of links and combining coral beads, turquoise beads, and silver beads embossed in the shape of cones. Silver appliques in the shape of children and bells. A central talisman, in the form of a storage compartment for a lucky cricket, the sides of the compartment in goldsmith's work depicting nature scenes combined with birds. (An artist's engraving at the bottom of the pendant?)
