Anatoli (Tankhum) Lvovich Kaplan (1902 – 1980) was a Russian painter, sculptor, and printmaker, whose works often reflect his Jewish origins.
Lives in Leningrad. From 1937-1940 he worked in an experimental lithographic studio of the Leningrad branch of the Artists' Association (Rosh Varski).
From 1950 to 1951 he worked as the chief artist of the glass factory of Leningrad.
Anatoly Kaplan's work throughout his life was closely linked to Jewish folklore and Yiddish literature. He created illustrations for the works of several Jewish authors, including classics of Jewish literature, as well as Jewish folk songs.
