A Fine Carved Katabori Netsuke of a Gaijin and Karako Playing, Japan, Edo Period, Early 19th Century
Carved as a Dutchman holding a horn and surrounded by three Karako children pulling on his horn and climbing on his back. Accented with black horn and a fine patina and with two asymmetrical himotoshi. One of the black horn settings missing.
