AN ANTIQUE JAPANESE CARVED NETSUKE OF A HORSE
A vintage Japanese netsuke depicting a horse with its head bowed. The horse's hind legs are in the pumpkin, which is a reference to the story of the Sennin Chyokoro carrying a pumpkin containing a magical horse. The signature of the master is carved on the bottom. From the late 19th to the early 20th-century.
