A LARGE RUSSIAN PORCELAIN SALAD BOWL EARLY 19TH C
Antique porcelain salad bowl made by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, based on the Babigon service. Polychrome overglaze painting, gilding. On the back, there is a factory stamp with the blue monogram of Nicholas I (circa 1830-s).The Babigon service was made at the Imperial Porcelain Factory in 1823-1824. Initially, the ensemble, designed for 100 people and consisting of 1,500 items, was intended for the Great Peterhof Palace. In the middle of the 19th century, the kitchenware complex was transferred to the Babigon pavilion built near Peterhof.
