Rachiya Rukhkyan (Armenian, Soviet, 1919–1992) mixed media (gouache, pen) painting on paper, the original unique illustration, maquette for poster, My First Vote in the Motherland Will Be For the Candidates on the Communist List, 1946. Signed and dated lower right. Text in Armenian. The intended audience for this poster was 150,000 diaspora Armenians that returned to the Motherland under the open doors policy briefly adopted by the Soviet Government after the end of WWII (1946–1948).
