Vladimir Umansky (Russian, b. 1948) oil on circle canvas still life titled Crabs in Venice. Signed lower right. Additionally signed and titled, with an information list Art of Vladimir Umansky on the back. Framed. Vladimir Umansky was born in Leningrad, USSR. Upon graduating from the Repin Institute in 1973, Umansky began his artistic career in Fine Arts and became a distinguished member of the Union of artists of Russia. Umansky's unique provocative works depict original characters who take the viewer on a deep philosophical journey. For the last thirty years, Umansky has participated in international exhibitions and over 400 of his works have been placed in major museums and private collections internationally, including the George Riabov Collection, Jane Vorhees Zimmerli Art Museum, and the St. Petersburg Academy of Art Museum.
