VINTAGE 1950S AMERICAN SS LINES TRAVEL POSTER
An original vintage American cruise travel color silkscreen poster, Take a Holiday from Hurry SS United States to Europe. Circa: 1950s. The poster features a fun and colorful cartoon style illustration of a man relaxing on a deck chair on board a ship with his hat over his eyes and a lady wearing a stylish summer outfit and drinking an iced drink with her bag next to her and a smartly dressed smiling waiter in a suit carrying a tray with a bottle and glass on it. The SS United States liner was launched in 1951 for United States Lines and served the transatlantic passenger route until 1969; she was the fastest ocean liner to cross the Atlantic Ocean on her maiden voyage in 1952.
