SEVEN ANTIQUE 1900S TURNED BRASS GRADUATED WEIGHTS
A collection of seven solid brass scale weights, dated circa 1900, with labels inscribed: Made in India. Victorian graduated metric scale weights were used with a balance scale. Metalware brass antiques and collectibles.The present lot on auction form part of the Kuranda's family estate. The provenance of items can be tracked back to Felix Kuranda in XIX Century Austrian Empire, member of a well known family of bankers and politicians; directly related to the Karpeles, Wittelshofer, Milne And Lederer families. The most chronological recent lots are former belongings from USA veteran Major Thom Stellinger-Scott related through marriage with the Kuranda lineage. He was a veteran of Korean War as well as a reputed amateur photographer and artist. The Stellinger-Scott family resided for decades at Montauk Long Island NY.
