Alexandra Yakusheva, Russian, 1900 to 1986, oil on cardboard military portrait painting entitled Valya Panfilova, Daughter of General Panfilov, At The Front, 1943. Signed and dated lower left. Additionally signed, dated, and titled on verso. Alexandra Ivanovna Yakusheva is a Soviet painter and graphic artist, known for her genre paintings, portraits, landscapes, and still lifes. Studied at VKhuTEMAS and then at VKhuTEIN as a student of S. Gerasimov, A. Drevin, R. Falk. Participated in exhibitions since 1928. Russian Soviet Military Portrait Paintings and Socialistic Realism Art Collectibles.
