An antique early 20th century Chinese metal egg with a wooden stand. Decorated with exquisite raised motifs depicting polychrome exotic flowers and leaves on a gold tone background made using the champleve enamel technique. Mounted on the wooden stand with a pierced decor. Champleve is an enameling technique consists of cutting away troughs or cells in a metal plate and filling the depressions with pulverized vitreous enamel.
