VINTAGE JAPANESE MIKUMO WOODBLOCK PRINT NUMBERED
A vintage Japanese woodblock print depicting a man figure with a bird on his arm in a white field. Monogrammed with the red seal of an artist in plate lower left, signed in pencil Mikumo, numbered 112 of 300 lower right. Matted and framed. Mikumo is the name of the Japanese publishing house founded by Mikumo Mokuhansha in 1921. It currently publishes the woodblocks of various artists, including Inagaki Nenjiro, Ogo Tomonosuke, Kawabe Atushi, Minagawa Taizo, Chiudo Kenichi, and many others who were also often textile designers and ceramicists.
