ANTIQUE 1894 GEORGE BARRIE TYPOGRAVURE, PARIS
An antique French 19th century Chromo Typogravure print depicting a classic museum interior. Marked: Copyrighted 1894 by Geo Barrie, Printed by Lemercier, Paris. Matted. George Barrie, from 1893 to 1895 was the Philadelphia printer and publisher, and worked upon a large and lavish series of original etchings and chromolithographs detailing exhibits of the fine art from participating countries at the Worlds Columbian Exposition. Barrie hired some of the finest etchers of the time, the majority being either French or American, to work on the series. Antique French Graphic Art, Prints And Multiples For Collectors.
