ATTR TO ERTE RARE ART DECO PATINATED BRONZE VASE
Attributed to Erte, Romain de Tirtoff, Russian, 1892 to 1990, rare figural patinated bronze vase. The vase is made in the Art Deco manner. The exterior of the vase is adorned with a relief decoration depicting a portrait of an Oriental woman with jewelry. Circa: the second half of the 20th century. Romain de Tirtoff was a French artist and designer known by the pseudonym Erte, from the French pronunciation of his initials. He was a 20th century genuis artist, graphic artist, illustrator, set designer, fashion designer, sculptor of the Art deco era, Russian origin, who worked in Paris and Hollywood.
