HAND COLORED WOOD BLOCKS PORTFOLIO BY FRANZ HEIN
Franz Hein, German, 1863 to 1927), portfolio of eight hand colored wood block prints on paper, Our Trees, depicting various landscapes with oak, birch, willow, spruce, pine, lime, alder and beech. A foreword by Paul Weiglin. Peoples Association of Book Lovers, Wegweiser Verlag , Berlin, 1929. Each is signed in the print and with a monogram in pencil lower right. Presented with an original folio. Franz Hein was a German painter, graphic artist and writer, trained in Hamburg, Karlsruhe and Paris. Professor at the Academy Leipzig. Antique European Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
