ANTIQUE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX ICON FEBRUARY MENAION
An antique 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon, a menaion for the month of February. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board with golden kovcheg. Titled Month of February on the top. Each saint is named in Church Slavonic. Menaion is an Orthodox Christian calendar of feasts, an icon depicting all the saints whose feast days fall within a particular month. Russian Religious Items and Antique Collectibles.
