Hand-colored lithograph on paper. Ca. 1860s. The artwork depicts a Medieval battle scene with a castle in the background. Titled underneath, The Battle of Monteil. The battle took place in 1369 during the Hundred Years War between France and England. The lithograph is a reproduction of an illustration from the Sir John Froissarts Chronicles. Wooden frame. Collectible Historical Graphic Arts.
