RUSSIAN IMPERIAL ALEXANDER III ERA LIFE GUARD CAP
An antique Russian Imperial Alexander III era privates hat of the Life Guards Imperial Familys Own 4th Battalion. A Pan Slavic manner coachmans diamond shape crown cap is made of black wool with wide eece band unique to this battalion. The cap is adorned with a brass Reservists cross badge with Alexander III cipher mounted over silver plated brass enlisted mans cockade painted in Romanovs colors. A creeme cotton lininig. Marked with a museum stamp, exhibit number 137, probably dated 21. 05. 14; and a stamp of a Shop of G. M. Borisov, Saint Petersburg, inside. Museum Pieces.
