Provenance: Johannes Vandamme Belgium by decent. Tom Mason Dallas, Texas. Private collection of an advanced collector in Los Angeles, California. The unique piece was examined in person by an art historian in East Hampton, New York. What was originally thought to be an acrylic square etched with dremel like tool, was modified that of the pattern created by melting the plastic with a fine point. The date of the work 1952 coincides with the first year that wireless soldering irons were available to the general public. It was postulated that Pollock was experimenting in a unique medium with a new to the market device. Completed with a black and white printed photo depicting a portrait of the artist. Inscribed in the print, Jackson Pollock, subject of to a Violent Grave: An Oral Biography by Jeffrey Potter, lower to the center. Jackson Pollock is an American artist, ideologist and leader of Abstract Expressionism, who had a significant impact on the art of the second half of the 20th century. One of a kind artwork.
