ATTR TO GUY WIGGINS NEW YORK CITYSCAPE OIL PAINTING
Attributed to Guy Carleton Wiggins, American, 1883 to 1962, oil painting on cardboard depicting a New York winter cityscape, 1948. Framed. Inscribed and dated, NYC 1948, on the backside. Guy Carleton Wiggins as an American impressionist painter. He was the president of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and a member of the Old Lyme Art Colony. He did many paintings of New York Citys snowy streets, landmarks and towering skyscrapers during winter. One of a kind artwork.
