ANTIQUE FRENCH BLUE TRINKET BOX W MUSE TERPSICHORE
A rare antique gilt bronze mounted, enameled and hand painted blue opaline glass trinket box. The box has a locking clip and is decorated on each side. On the hinged lid there is a central relief image of the reclining muse Terpsichore and two infant putti playing the flute and violin. The sides of the box are hand painted with Grotesque motifs. The inside of the box is lined with red velvet. Presumably Frenc, circa 1890. European Glassware, Decorative Antiques And Collectibles.
