A rare and highly collectible antique Baroque figure of a weeping saint. The figure is beautifully hand painted and dressed in a dark long robe with a complex headdress, symbolizing the radiance of a halo. The upturned face with large tears and bare feet indicate that the figure depicts a martyr. Possibly Spanish Colonial, 18th century.
