ANTIQUE 19TH C FRENCH GILT BRONZE MANTEL CLOCK
An antique French Restoration period Romantic clock in gilded and chased bronze representing the Duchess of Berry and her children. The background is decorated with a relief drapery held by swans and a lion. The clock case is flanked by two Egyptian female masks under caduceus. Raised on a pedestal decorated with overlays depicting flower garlands and round medallions with female portraits. The round dial is covered with white enamel and features black Roman numerals. Circa 1814 to 1830. European Antique Metalware, Classic Decorative Art For Collectors.
