GERMAN 1870 MODEL GRAND CROSS OF THE IRON CROSS
The Grand Cross of the Iron Cross, reproduction of the highest Prussian and German military decoration. Founded on 10 March 1813, during the Napoleonic Wars, it was renewed in 1870 for the Franco-Prussian War and again in 1914 for World War I. This lot features the dates 1813 and 1870 as well as crowned initials of the King Frederick Wilhelm III and Emperor Wilhelm I.
