SIGNED KRISHNA HAWLAJI ARA INDIAN OIL PAINTING
An oil on board painting depicting a still life with flowers. Signed lower right, Ara. Framed. Additionally inscribed, on the backside. Krishna Ara, 1914 to 1985, is known for Nude figure and still life painting. Krishnaji Howlaji Ara was an Indian painter and is seen as the first contemporary Indian painter to meticulously use the female nude as a subject. He was a part of the Progressive Artists Group in Bombay and was a founder of the Artists Centre in Mumbai. Indian Fine Art, Still Life Oil Paintings, Wall Art, and Collectibles.
