EXPRESSIONIST OIL PAINTING BY PIERRE AMBROGIANI
Pierre Lucien Ambrogiani, French, Italian, 1907 to 1985, oil painting on board depicting an Expressionist landscape. Signed lower left. Pierre Ambrogiani is known for Expressionist landscape, portrait and still life painting. An expressionist painter in bright colors of portraits, landscapes and still life, Pierre Ambrogiani was most noted for landscape and harbor scenes, in oranges and reds, especially of the countryside along the Mediterranean Sea. Ambrogiani also did engravings. He was self taught but by age 30 had his first exhibition, which was in Marseilles, France. In 1946, he had an exhibition of his work in Paris, and the following year in New York City. Modern and Contemporary European Fine Art, Expressionist Paintings, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
