Ca. 1550 - 1069 BCAn Egyptian delicate stone head of a deer with inlaid eyes, large nostrils, closed mouth and raised ears. The deer has its head erect and appears alert, as though sensing danger. Egyptian artists were meticulous observers of the world and created numerous naturalistic depictions of the creatures in their environment.
