PERCUSSION CAP POCKET PISTOL
Ca. Early 19th Century AD An early percussion cap pocket pistol with a smoothbore barrel and a percussion cap firing system. The receiver is signed on one side by the makers Tindall and Dutton, and is marked as having been made in London on the other. The external barrel is round. The wooden handle is squared rather than rounded and possibly made from walnut. This model does not feature a trigger guard as the trigger itself is concealable. Size: 185mm x 75mm; Weight: 250g Provenance: From the private collection of an Essex gentleman; previously in an old British Collection, formed in the 1990s.
