A Solid Heavy 800 Silver 'Lion' Hanukkah Lamp Menorah, Germany, 1880 - 1920
Tall backplate, with the Decalogue at center supported by two lions. Topped by a large, impressive crown Shamash and oil decanter on the right and left with lion motifs. Eight oil beakers on the bottom, shaped like lions with panting tongues. Thin stems jut out of their mouths an opening for the wicks. On the right and left are lions on raised platforms. 2 chains. Stands on 4 decorated legs.
