Mohel Buch from Neupest, Bonyhad & Chicago 1885-1920.

Sefer Sod Hashem, Vienna, 1837.

Bound with a rare manuscript 'Mohel Buch' that starts in Hungary & finishes in Chicago.

The Mohel Buch records 210 circumcisions from 1885-1909 performed in Neupest (Újpest) & Bonyhad. [Also records circumcisions in many surrounding Hungarian villages, please see Hebrew description for a more detailed listing].

And 96 circumcisions performed after the Mohel immigrated to Chicago from 1910-1920.

The identity of the Mohel is unknown. But there is a signature on the title page: Yitzchak Klein? of Szikso & Bonyhad. Also included is a cutout from a Chicago Yiddish newspaper that mentions Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik Klein rabbi of the Bnei Aaron Synagogue & Rabbi Joseph Taub Mohel in Chicago. Perhaps one one them is the writer of this Rare Mohel Buch.
