Tikkun Shmirat Shabbat - A Rare Chassidic Edition. Sighet, 1888
Sefer Tikkun Shmirat Shabbat, by Rabbi Yehuda ben Moshe of Lublin, with Chassidic additions. Sighet, Wieder Press. Two parts with separate title pages. First edition with the Chassidic additions.
At the beginning of the book, the intention for the mikveh by the Ba’al Shem Tov is printed, a commentary on ‘Hodu’ by the Ba’al Shem Tov, and the order of Kabbalat Shabbat. At the end of the book, ‘Straight Conduct by the Ba’al Shem Tov’ is printed.
The printer writes in his introduction that the previous edition of the book (Zolkiew, 1810) was extremely corrupted, "and almost not a single word remained without an error..."
An extremely rare edition.
[8], 43 leaves; 49, [3] leaves. 17.5 cm.
Good-very good condition. Some time stains. Tiny tears in the margins of several pages. Unbound.
