This edition was printed for a segula, with many pervading and frightened among the Hungarian Jews from the tribulation that was approaching them. On the title page of the book the printers wrote "For all the house of Israel it is a great virtue to see wise and prudent sons and success and blessing, and to conquer the fire of battle that will not rule in his house and no evil will dwell in his provocation, anyone that will hold this holy book with him hidden with his money and gold in his treasure, in a time of trouble he will have salvation".
