A U.S. NAVAL OFFICERS M 1852 SWORD WITH BELT
The brass hilt of typical form with wire-wrapped sharkskin grip and sword knot, the straight, single-edged blade marked HILBORN HAMBURGER INC, NEW YORK at the forte, with etched panels and a single fuller to either side. Inscribed USN. Scabbard of black leather with brass mounts. With its black leather belt with gilded mounts. First half of the 20th century. Overall length 94.5cm / 37 1/8?. Condition II
