A SCOTTISH DIRK
A large example, with hardwood grip of characteristic form carved with the basketwork and set with brass studs, the pommel with a large faceted glass gem set in a gilt bezel embossed and chased with thistles en suite with the ferrule. The broad, single-edged blade with false edge and profiled spine with narrow fuller. The scabbard mounted en suite with the hilt, with gilt mounts embossed and chased with a crowned thistle. With its knife and fork set with glass gems en suite with the hilt. 20th century. Overall length 45.7cm. Condition I
