Gold, white jasper and malachite pendant - by GIORGIO FACCHINI
18k yellow gold, pair of geometric pattern set with cabochon cut oval malachite and triangular white jasper. Signed "GIORGIO FACCHINI" and stamped "750". Born in Fano in 1947, Giorgio Facchini began his artistic training with his goldsmith uncle and sculptor Edgardo Mannucci. After completing his studies in Venice, he made his debut designing informal, spatialist and kinetic jewellery, which he presented at his first exhibition at Galleria Fanesi in Ancona. Over the following decades he exhibited jewellery, medals and sculptures in numerous group and solo shows in Italy and abroad, where he received prestigious awards. He has collaborated with Pierre Cardin, the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto and has taught plastic arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Macerata and the Accademia di Brera in Milan.
