It was a Swiss born American soprano who had an active international career in operas and concerts from the 50s to 80s. A talented soprano pushed, has been widely acclaimed for her interpretation of the role of the title in Aida by Giuseppe Verdi; a role he has performed in many of the best theaters in the world operates.
