Lu Hong "Wood Dragon" Original Mixed Media on Rice Paper
Those born between February 13, 1964 and February 1, 1965 are members of the Wood Dragon Chinese Zodiac sign. With the help of the Wood Element, the Wood Dragon is given the most creative and artistic personalities of all the Dragon signs. Although the Wood Dragon has may positive qualities, they can often waste valuable time over-analyzing problems and concerns. Similarly, the Wood Dragon is not free from the aggressive nature of their sign and can become volatile when challenged. The traditional Chinese calendar follows a 60-year, rotating name cycle where each year's name contains two parts: the celestial stem (an animal zodiac), and the terrestrial branch (a natural element). The animal character is taken from a rotating list of 12 signs, while the elemental term is taken from a rotating list of five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water). In this way, any given year's zodiac sign occurs only once every 60 years. "Wood Dragon" is an original mixed media painting on rice paper by Lu Hong, hand signed by the artist!
