Very Rare Memorial Book of the Jewish Quarter and Cemetery in Prague, with 13 Illusrtrations. Single Edition? Prag 1855.

German language book, memorial of the Jewish quarter (Ghetto) and cemetery, including 13 illustrations in black and yellow, with blue frames. Illustrations include an large foldout of the cemetery and illustrations of tombstones with explanations, and photos pf the Prague synagogues.

A first and very rare edition which we could not find in auctions.

This might be a "single Edition" as the illustrations in this edition are different than those in later editions!!

Dedicated in print to Moses Montefiore. Inscription in pen on rear board. Pen writing on inner rear cover.

Antique binding, quality paper, illustrations printed on one side of page, leaving the other side blank. Excellent condition..

ספר בגרמנית זיכרון לרובע היהודי (הגיטו) ובית הקברות העתיק בפראג כולל 13 איורים בשחור וצהוב מוקפים במסגרת בצבע כחול, האיורים: תמונה גדולה מקופלת של בית הקברות ותמונות מצבות עם הסבר כולל הסברים על מצבות עתיקות ביותר מ – ד' אלפים, ותמונת בתי הכנסת בפראג – אלט נוי מבחוץ ומבפנים נראה בתמונה גם הדגל המפורסם וכן תמונות בתי כנסת אחרים, בשער הספר איור בשחור – כחול של בית הקברות וברקע המגדל המפורסם של פראג.

"מהדורה ראשונה" ונדירה ביותר לא מצאנו שנמכר במכירות פומביות.

ייתכן שזו "מהדורה יחידה" שכן הציורים במהדורה זו שונים! ממהדורות שנדפסו מאוחר יותר!!

דף זה הנו חשוב כשלעצמו לחוקרי יהדות פראג, ולא נשתמר בחלק מהעותקים מספר נדיר זה.

רישום בעט בכריכה האחורית.

כריכה עתיקה, נייר משובח, האיורים מודפסים על צדו האחד של הדף וצדו השני חלק. מצב מצוין.
