Rare 2004 Jerry Brown Double Face Jug with just one of the best folky face jugs one could want. The late Jerry Brown of Hamilton Alabama is one of the most important pottery figures of Alabama. His work is noted in the Alabama state council on the Arts, also the Alabama Folk Heritage Award (2003) also in his hometown of Hamilton Alabama Jerry Brown Arts Festival and is recognized as a Top 20 event in the southeastern US. His most famous is the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. The list goes on and this piece is a prime example of why his work is such sought after by collectors today. Double Face jug with protruding eyes on one side and the tounge sticking out is outstanding. The detail on both side are outstanding. Condition is mint and is from a private Alabama collection and was bought from Jerry himself in 2004. Mint example and standing 12 1/2" Tall
