Leatherworker’s Stitching Pony, 19th or early 20th Century
A wooden clamp used by harnessmakers, accoutrement makers and other leatherworkers for holding work while it is being stitched, the horse and its clamp were controlled by the artisan’s legs, leaving his hands free to sew.
