Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engine & Dayton Wright Airplane Co. Data Plates. The Pratt & Whitney R-1340-AN1 Wasp is a reciprocating engine widely used in American aircraft from the 1920's on. It was the company's first engine and the first of the famed Wasp family. The Airco DH.4 is a British two-seat biplane day bomber of the WWI. The DH.4 was developed as a two-seat combat aircraft, for both day bomber and aerial reconnaissance missions. Good readable condition.
