A western New York artist, painter, teacher, and designer, I Marie Colburn was known for her landscapes, marine and coastal views, and paintings featuring summer views of Rockport, on Cape Ann, MA. She worked mainly in oils and watercolors.

Condition: Very good condition; several surface scratches; one runs from top to bottom of the left side of the painting; light impression of stretcher bars are visible from the front of the canvas; surface dent upper left quadrent; moderate craquelure throughout.
