Medal in honor of the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel
The colored symbol on the medal consists of a collection of lines, symbolizing people, merging into the eternal Star of David. Below the colorful symbol is the word "Hatikva" in Hebrew and English. The Hebrew word was composed of letters in the handwriting of David Ben-Gurion, while the English word - of letters in the handwriting of Benjamin Zeev Herzl.
Back of the Medal: The back side pictorially depicts the union of hearts around Jerusalem.
