The Kastner affair/murder- University Diploma in Law. Was reissued in 1946 (in 1940, Kasztner was deprived, like the rest of Europe's Jews, of the right to work in the profession of law), a unique and very rare item!
Dr. Israel (Rudolph) Kasztner - 15.4.1906 - 15.3.1957. was a member of the help and Rescue Committee in Budapest and organized various rescue operations, including the Kasztner Train. Claims that he cooperated with the Nazis, which were distributed by journalist Malkiel Gruenwald, following which the state attorney ordered him to be sued for libel, after which he was acquitted of most of the charges. following the triel, he was gunned down by 3 Assassins in Tel Aviv in 1957. In the appeal filed by the State (after his death), the Supreme Court acquitted him of most of the charges against him, except for the charge of assisting Nazi criminal Kurt Bacher to avoid execution in the Nuremberg trials. Judge Agranat noted in his judgment that "Kasztner will be judged by history and not the court." The debate over his relations with the Nazis continues today, 60 years after his death.
