The Dreyfus Affair in original lithographs by the painter Paul RENOUARD , a rare special edition album, numbered and signed by the artist, copy 101 of 102, an album containing 99 original lithographs matted to thick handmade paper sheaths, some of them signed in the plate.
A huge album format. a very rare special edition, numbered and signed by the artist, copy 101 of 102, containing 99 original lithographs.
including the artist's dedication to Antonin Proust (French journalist and politician 1832-1905). The album includes portraits and scenes from and around the trial. Dreyfus and his family, lawyers, judges and witnesses, Alfred Dreyfus at the military school on the day of humiliation January 5, 1895, Emil Zola, Ferdinand Esterhazy and others.
In front of each page is a sheet of rice paper with the title of the lithograph.
