תעתיקים של מטבעות
״השקל היהודי הקדום״.
יוצרו על ידי יהודי אירופה שעשו בהם שימוש כזכר למצוות מחצית השקל, וקיימו מצוות מתנות לאביונים בחג פורים, לדמי חנוכה וכן לפדיון הבן ואף נשמרו כסגולה.
המטבעות עוצבו על פי תיאורים ספרותיים, ולא לפי דוגמת שקל עברי אמיתי. באורח מסורתי נטבעו עליהם המלים "שקל ישראל" , ו- ״ירושלים הקדושה" הכיתוב מופיע בכתב מרובע.
